I only gave an 8 because it's not done and I get the feeling when you complete this it will be excellent. So I need to leave 2 more stars for the finished version :P
Anyway both versions sound good. I personally like the ambient one more, but why not do both? I would probably download both versions if you finished them. I'm going to add you to my fav artists so I can check back every so often and see if you've finished the song.

This was a good song. Well done. Clear sound and everything. I know this is a club mix, and that is probably why it's so long and why its a little repetitive.
I'd say make the intro shorter, it was like a minute long. It just took too long building up. And then maybe give it a little more alternation for the melody or figure out another melody or two and work them in there so it has a little bit more variety. If you did that I'd definitely download it and put it on my ipod.

As others have said the quality of the song is good, but the song itself it just bad and completely unentertaining.
it holds position 1 because that's what place it had at the moment the Top 5 were announced for the week. Don't blame me because you didn't notice it in time to 0-bomb it.
Secondly, 0. Now how many times do YOU plan on 0ing this because you think it's "a joke"? Yeah, I thought so. I guess this is a case where you "practice what you preach", except you're doing the very opposite of what you're preaching, and no one's listening to it in the first place.
The last line of this review was the only thing remotely acceptable in terms of response, so maybe I'll give you a more distinct response when you can write a review that doesn't suck as much as you claim the song to.

This is some great work. You have nice melodies, good bass, and nice variation. I think it's the variation that ultimately made me download this song. Keep up the good work.

I agree with firedylan. Some people will love the song just as it is with the lyrics. I myself feel the lyrics aren't great and only hurt the song instead of help it. It would be great if you could make another version, take out the lyrics, and add another instrument melody in place of it. Others will probably download this as it is, but I'd need an alternate version before I'll put this on my ipod.

As I said to firedylan below, I understand what you are saying. And yes, if I were to relase an instrumental version - something has to be done to fill out what obviously will be missing. But I might do this, as it would be fun to play even more around with old-school synths from the great era of the SID-chip. So I might just do this at some point. Otherwise, thanks for your thoughts :)

Usually I can't wait for NG to update with a new week of top songs so I can find new awesome music to put on my ipod. This week's submissions have been a real let down. This song however is excellent. It's very catchy and mellow in the beginning and then picks up later but the whole song is wonderful.

Nice melody, good use of various sounds. The only thing I noticed was when its really getting into the song it can sound slightly scratchy. Maybe lower the volume of the base just a tiny tiny bit.

Some songs that have a slow start are boring and don't work. That's not the case with this piece. It really works for it. Great sounds, great build up. This ones going on my ipod. Keep em coming.
